Unfortunately, there has still been no movement on the issue of whether discretionary bonuses should form part of furlough payments. So, our position, at least until we receive the required clarification, is to use the National Minimum Wage as the basis for our furlough payments. We’re extremely keen to get clarity on this as quickly as possible and, so we’re clear, when we receive the necessary guidance we will look again at payments.
As the official information regarding pay remains insufficient, we’re seeking to have our own interpretation of the rules confirmed.
