1st Choice Umbrella

Amazing !! I closed my Ltd company because of ir35 And I landed a new contract wich was umbrella. And I chose 1st choice.. and wow they and really good .. you really get a personalised feel do t let the website fool you.. it seems a bit naf bit the customer cate is second to none. Iv had one issue with pay from the agency.. so the finance director literally phoned the agency to chase them down and find out what's going in and yes he phoned me back in less than 10min and had it all resolved.. if your in two minds just do it I have turned down £550 a day contracts because they wouldn't let me yse 1st choice thats how confident I am in them..

Was about to join these guys but they will not pay on a weekly or monthly cycle stating that HMRC frown on biweekly payments as I do not contribute fully to my NI yearly contributions, this is why all compliant umbrella companies do not offer it. Non-compliant umbrella companies will but unfortunately as they are government approved they cannot and will not." When pressed as to any evidence to this and stating its just a "Salesman tactic to get me to sign-up" I got no response back. Going with another Umbrella.

First-time contractor here - They would not take me on working a 2 day week at £250 a day. They using HMRC's system so they cannot process anything less than a 3 day week and others are using SAGE.

Just received my 2nd Furlough payment and hopefully the last as i have now returned to work. thumbs up for 1st choice again

Received m covid pay from 1st choice, kept well informed and really happy with them.

Received an email from 1st choice advising about JRS, who qualifies and how to apply. I responded to them, i received a holding email straight away to advise they will check with my agency and call me to see if i qualified. Received a phone call 2 days later, they apologised for the delay but had to wait for my agency to confirm what i said was correct. They advised that they had applied for me and will confirm once funds cleared. Received a phone call on 30th April to advise fnds have been received and i received my pay on the Friday. 1st choice have been a real life saver for me and my family, i am now back at work. i feel for some of my work mates, they did not apparently qualify as they do not use 1st choice but another umbrella, they are now switching to 1st choice.

coudlnt fault them, let me know what was what , how it would work and what i was entitled to. Great umbrella, wouldnt use anyone else now.

Paid as soon as they could, 80% of full salary. They’ve really been great and supported me consistently throughout this awful time! Would recommend them!
