Outside IR35 banned
Division: Technology
Any and all engagements with Ltd companies are banned. Umbrella only approach for agency staff. No discussion, no assessments. No change in day rates on offer, so effectively a substantial pay cut if you continue. Majority of genuine services provider will move on.

Outside IR35 banned
Division: Project Management
Initially blank assessment - now everyone has to go through umbrella and there will be no IR35 determination. Not great atmosphere following on from notice period being halved, followed by 10% across the board contractor pay cuts. People will be leaving as soon as they can secure new roles.

IR35 u-turn made
Following last night's bombshell, SJP have declared all previously issued SDS "null and void" and all renewals will be issued on existing terms.

Unfair IR35 assessment
SJPayroll. Lazy blanket inside ruling for all contractors. Own SDS made up with questions all answered incorrectly to indicate inside. No consultation or examination of individual working practices. No due care. No thanks.

Unfair IR35 assessment
Division: Technical Connection
Blanket assessment. No consideration of working practices. No SDS or draft contracts and little understanding of how IR35 works. Have developed their own assessment tool based on a handful of questions to direct worker inside IR35. Lip service appeals process where completion of appeals form would implicitly put worker inside IR35. Whole approach seems contemptuous and bona fide contractors likely to leave
