Outside IR35 banned
Division: Technology
Owned by RBS. RBS forcing a blanket ban on contractors. No individual assessments, not abiding by HMRC advice on blanket bans. Loads of people leaving and they are having issues hiring.

Blanket ban on outside roles even if genuinely acting as a consultancy. I was offered a very nice permanent package and umbrella option but left for an outside IR35 role elsewhere.

Permanent roles only
Division: IT
Just blanket bans without assessments. Few people converting into permies, but the majority is leaving either end of Feb or end of March. Project is struggling to hire more people so it'll be heavily damaged

Outside IR35 banned
Division: Engineering
Current engineering team is made up entirely from contractors, they're having to follow the overall RBS approach, no PSCs from end of Feb. Now trying to build up permanent workforce and get contractors to transition.
