Further to our comm’s on 28th February 2020, in which we confirmed that Primark will no longer engage UK Contractors through a PSC.
In the interim, effective today, we are confirming that this serves to formally issue 4 weeks’ notice of termination.
MASS CONTRACTOR EXODUS.
They used CEST and said it wasn't a blanket assessment but oddly enough, we all got the same answers. Appeals have duly gone in, but that was 2 weeks ago and nothing further has been heard. The atmosphere is poor and a number of contractors will be leaving
No fair assessment, blanket decision, when challenged shoulders shrugged. To be fair they are so vague in the role that I am not surprised and it is probably safer for all to assess as inside!
CEST used & everyone found inside. They say role based but feels like blanket assessment. 1 week to appeal then 1 week to sign a new contract or walk. New contracts not shared until you agree with the SDS. Parity are also charging 12.5 percent for employment ‘costs’ before PAYE. Everyone leaving if appeals fail
