IR35 fairly assessed
Division: Data engineering
Assessed by QDOS as outside IR35, whole process was quick and transparent. Well organised considering this is new to everyone involved.

ECS is a consultancy. They have no clue about the tax implications or that a contract I will now have to pay employers NI

Really poor handling of the situation. Agency is just playing lip service and is trying to strong arm people into going brolly by sending bullying messages contractors need to let them know by 31st Jan do they can work on an "extension" with the brolly. They don't understand real contractors choose who to engage with, not the agency. The rates are below industry norm anyway, can get better going inside elsewhere worse case.

IBM

I work through my limited company via ECS agency then via Experis then IBM whose client is LBG. Who is by law needs to do the IR35 assessment after 6 April? Ecs is giving choice of umbrella or fixed term contract only.
