Unfair IR35 assessment
Division: BAE SUBS barrow.
BAE Systems AI ltd BAE Systems AI ltd Consultancy U-turn / deferral AGENTS PLACING HERE Don't want to say IR35 CV19 IR35 FEEDBACK ON BAE SYSTEMS AI LTD IR35: Flawed / unfair 4 minutes ago Agent: Don't want to say Division / department: BAE SUBS barrow. Well, blanket assessed. Seems a limited 5% have got outside when some should def not be. I am outside due to my role, the way I work and my contract, but have been assessed inside. In my appeal the contract bae were happy to use over the last few years was rejected and my list of 20+ points where ignored as the apprentices doing the vetting would only stick rigidly to the cest tool. Initially I was told to look into PAYE which I wasted my time on. Then I was told to commit permiside on a rubbish deal or get bagged. New manger with no clue what I do, how much money I have saved the company, how valuable I am to my team. No negotiation on a permie deal. Take it or leave it. Goodbye BAE and looks like I will not be back in Barrow again unless you have a change of direction in the future. Have I new job Outside IR35 elsewhere were they have fairly assessed roles and changed the way they work to conform. Yes a proactive company who realise the importance of keeping highly skilled workers, how refreshing. The project will be hit significantly but will push on. BAE Barrow will loose 50-200 good contractors which I guess is minor to them and they won't care. I am feeling stressed and let down by the whole saga, it has been draining mentally on top of everything else. The gov will now get significantly less tax from me and they would if I had gone PAYE or staff. It all makes no sense from a tax point of view and has caused unwanted stress for all concerned and affected my mental health.
