Tried to sign up with them after being flipped from Outside 35 to Umbrella by end client. Very unprofessional advice on the phone before joining, and subsequent pay illustrations did not reflect what we had discussed. More than one staff member rushed conversations stating they were very busy, and didn't follow through promised actions in a timely fashion - so after 48 hours of trying to get the information I needed in the end I decided to use an alternative Umbrella........

One of the larger and more professional Umbrellas. Costs are reasonable, they pay quickly on receipt of the funds from the end client, they answer the phones quickly and the website self service is good (the phone app functionality is a waste of time). I have had conflicting advice from different staff members - specifically around the process for opting out of auto pension enrolment (I wanted to opt out) but achieved what I wanted in the end. Ultimately they provide a basic PAYE payroll service for a small fee. Its not their fault that a good deal of people forced to use them should be operating direct outside IR35 but end clients have been scared into making policy decisions to only hire contractors via Umbrella avoiding the need/risk for SDS.
