Contractors only via their suppliers (i.e. professional services companies) and even then a blank inside ir35 approach is mandatory.

Given a Staus Determination of Outside and have been advised to continue as normal. Determination explained as to why this is the outcome and showed key areas where it stated why the piece of work would not be considered to be deemed employment. Determination by EY sounded quite detailed from the high level areas reviewed and statements were clear and considered. Results must be dependent on not the contract but working practices.

Can’t get more confusing assessment outcomes really. EY did the assessment and there is no pattern on why some are outside and why some are inside IR35 regulations. CEST clearly shows outside but EY tool gave mixed results with in the same team. Although SDS was given, I think assessment is totally flawed.

Blanket IR35

Getting so many different mixed messages. Assessments made by EY. Some hearing they are outside. Hearing that paye is going to be offered in April. People posting here that there is a blanket ban but not heard that internally. Not sure which way it will go.

EY assessment tool used but people doing the same role got different result.

CEST used, but unfairly judged inside.

Blanket decision in response to poor understanding and lack of expertise. Already see exceptions being made. Lots of leavers so no idea how projects are going to be delivered. Outlook bleak.

Have been advised that contracts will be individually assessed. Cannot ask for anything more fair than that. Will be interesting to see the results of the review.

No tool used, simply a blanket ban on Ltd Company Contractors. I'm the only UK based contractor in my department, so unaware of impact. I'm not impressed, and may look abroad for my next role.

Blanket PAYE with 25% rate cut

PSCs and Umbrellas banned. Only options are Perm or Agency worker

Allegis MSP have been advised formally that all contractors must convert to PAYE if they want to remain engaged on their contracts with SCB.

Inconsistent cherry picking.

No decision has been made on IR35...

AGS informs that WorldPay IR35 Project Team (HR) have not made their IR35 position known yet. Also said “it probably won’t be a blanket ban like other places have done, most likely individual assessments” ... but this doesn’t fill me with confidence this late in the day. People need to know, people need to decide if they want to continue with WorldPay or simply walk out come April. AGS have said if WorldPay’s decision is to make changes to current contract terms and conditions then the contracts will simply be updated come March-April. So a scenario could be outside until April 4th, then shift to inside on April 5th... (worst case) Contractors will be worried about being retrospectively investigates and any updates to a contract would require the contractor to agree/sign. else the contract should finish on April 4th or before if contractor does not accept. Notice periods would also not be applicable in this circumstances. AGS doing nothing but taking instruction from the client.

PSC engagemens will terminate and convert to Temporary Agency Worker agreement

PAYE or umbrella. Took so long to determine this outcome. It’s a shame.

No communication so far but rumours are to use PAYE or umbrella.

Client is not making blanket determinations as many contractors are saying, it is simply instructing suppliers to engage on a PAYE basis with their contractors.
